The Bowker Creek Urban Watershed Renewal Initiative is a partnership between the CRD, Saanich, Oak Bay, the City of Victoria, The University of Victoria and Friends of Bowker Creek. The aim of the initiative is to educate residents and users about the creek and watershed, expand public areas around the creek, create a master drainage plan and improve water quality through stormwater management. We are hosting a launch party from10:30am until 12:30pm on Saturday April 2nd, 2005 at the Spirit Garden located at the corner of Richmond and Kings Street. There will be the official interpretive sign unveiling as well as family activities, live music and a watershed tour. Local politicians, students and community members will be speaking.
